In a feature film, the largest part of the sound you hear is created afterwards. Ronnie van der Veer showed participants how he works to create the right sounds and how you can steer the viewer with it. In his studio, he records sound effects: everything from creaky chairs to running robots.
Ronnie van der Veer is a Dutch foley artist and sound designer. As a foley artist, he has worked on more than 100 films and series, including The Lobster, Riphagen, Bram Fischer, Gooische Vrouwen 2, Rafael and In Blue.
He graduated from the HKU in 2007 in Music Technology, after which he worked as a freelance sound designer and foley artist. After several years of specializing he has his own studio in Haarlem, from where he works on various national and international productions.
