Pop Up Cinema are experts in developing film concepts outside the regular cinema. In their Talent Talks, filmmakers are interviewed to give an insight into their filmmaking process. In the in-depth interviews, our visitors could find out what inspires the filmmakers and dive into their personal world.
Aiman Hassani (1988, Bergen op Zoom) is a change maker, filmmaker and advocate for diversity in film & TV. He is also a founder of the social business Wedowe, a non-profit organisation that activates people to change the world. His film#YOLO4REAL won ‘Best Editing’ in 2017. This year we screened his latest film ‘You are Moroccan, right?’.
Bobby Boermans (Eindhoven, 1981) grew up in Amsterdam and graduated from the Dutch Film & Television Academy. He studied at the prestigious American Film Insitute Conservatory in Hollywood. He is a director of music videos and commercials for several brands. He directed the feature films like ‘Claustrofobia’, ‘APP’ and ‘Wasted’ (Fissa). In 2015 he made his 3rd feature film 'Wasted' (Fissa). He also directed the 3D Musical 'Spectacle Sky' and 4 episodes of 'MocroMaffia', a Dutch TV-series.
Anna Ginsburg (London) is a filmmaker with a diverse range of talents. Anna specialises in combining different techniques and approaches, working across traditional hand-drawn 2D, stop-motion, digital imagery and live-action. Anna's first music video for Bombay Bicycle Club's 'How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep?' won a Bafta at the New Talent Awards. Since then Anna has received incredible praise for her films. 'What is Beauty?', released for International Women's Days, which has received over 15 million hits, is nominated for Best Animation at this year’s EFF.
